This carved panel is from France and dates to the late 1800’s. This was once a door panel on a French cabinet. Note that the frame of the panel has been refinished. It is made from solid walnut and finished to a warm medium color. The carvings on it are very intricate and very well done. There is a beak missing on a chicken but is only noticeable upon close inspection (see photos). Overall it is in excellent condition with only minor nicks and scratches. Note that there are some woodworm holes on the backside of the panel as well (see photos). Dimensions: 25.5" tall, 18.25" wide and 2" deep. (1320 2)
