This highly carved Gothic crest is from France and dates to the late 1800's. It was originally part of a French piece of furniture. It is made from solid walnut and oak finished to a warm dark color. Overall it is in good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches. There are some woodworm holes in the center carving but they are old and inactive (see photos). Note that the top of the crest can be removed for easy shipping (see photos). Dimensions: 66.5" wide, 33" tall and 4" thick. (9138 3)
