This large polished bronze sanctuary chandelier is from France and it dates from the early to mid 1900's. It was originally hung near the altar in a church with a set of candles or a lantern inside. It has a beautifully polished bronze finish with slight patina in the cracks. Sometime in the last 50 years it was converted to a chandelier with a light in the middle. This lamp is in very good antique condition with only minor imperfections. Although the wiring is newer, we recommend that it be replaced if it is to be kept as a chandelier. Dimensions: 64.5" high including the chains and 16" diameter. The body itself is 13.5" high.(4601)
