This oil on canvas painting is from France and dates to the mid to late 1800's. It is of the shroud of Turin or Holy Shroud. This painting was cleaned and restored sometime in the last 20 years. There are several patches to the backside of the canvas but overall the painting is in excellent condition. The frame appears to be original and shows minor signs of wear (see photos). Dimensions: 29.25" tall, 24" wide and 2.25" thick in its frame. The canvas size is 23.25" tall and 18.25" wide. (3532)
