This Louis XV period antique gun cabinet is from France and it dates to the late 1700’s. This is an original old cabinet that has been fitted with a rifle/shotgun rack. The conversion to a gun cabinet is recent. Note that the maximum length that can be accommodated is 42". However, we would be happy to lower the butt well to fit longer guns if you would like us to do it before we ship it. The wood is beautifully worn with great texture and a warm natural oak color. The cabinet is in very good antique condition considering that it is 200+ years old. There are minor repairs, chips, discolorations and scratches consistent with its age (see photos). There are also two small pieces of trim missing from the left foot and the left rear foot (see photos). There is no woodworm or dry rot. Dimensions: 80” high, 54” wide and 18” deep.
