This oil on linen painting is from Europe and dates to the late 1800's. The painting brilliantly captures lavender along a pathway through the woods. The painting's strong colors are still quite vibrant after all of these years. Note that there are patches to the piece that are only visible on the backside and also a small cut (see photos). The frame is not original and we believe that it was added sometime in the last 40 years. Dimensions: 28.75" wide, 21.75" tall and 1.75" thick in its frame. The canvas size is 21" wide and 14" tall.
