This gun cabinet is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. This was not originally a gun cabinet and was converted sometime in the last 20 years. This is a beautiful piece with neoclassical carvings that adorn the face of the cabinet. The solid walnut and oak woodwork is finished to a warm dark color. There are two keys and both locks work as they should keeping the cabinet secure. Note that both of the key holes are hidden under sliding pieces of ornament (see photos). Overall this cabinet is in good antique condition with the usual amount of nicks and scratches. Note that there are also woodworm holes throughout this piece and some large cracks in panels (see photos). Dimensions: 91.5" tall, 43.25" wide and 20" deep. It is 36.5" high to the deck of the cabinet. The cabinet top can hold 5 guns and the height inside the cabinet is 51.5" tall. (1312)
