This highly carved Breton armoire is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. The cabinet is made from solid chestnut and finished to a warm dark color. The woodcarving is extensive throughout the entire piece and very deep. It comes with a key and the lock works as it should. Overall this cabinet is in very good antique condition with minor nicks, slight cracks and scratches. Note that there are also several woodworm holes in the back panel (see photos).
