Antique French Breton (Brittany) Sideboard/Buffet/Server in Solid Chestnut Wood
This beautiful sideboard/buffet is from the Breton (Brittany) region of France and it dates to the late 1800's. It's a very practical piece with plenty of storage. It is made from solid chestnut finished to a warm dark color. It is elaborately carved with wonderful detail on every panel. There is a key and the lock works as it should. This cabinet is in very good antique condition with only minor signs of wear. Note that there are several old inactive woodworm holes on the top and a small gap in the panel on the front (see photos). At some point a hole was cut into the back panel of the piece (see photos). Dimensions: 40.5" tall, 35" wide and 18" deep. (350)
