This Prie Dieu is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. This piece is made from solid oak and finished to a warm dark color. The carving in the center of the kneeler is exceptional and quite detailed. The fabric is newer and appears to have been redone sometime in the past 20 years. Note the makers mark on the underside of the kneeler (see photo). Overall this kneeler is in very good antique condition with only minor imperfections characteristic of a piece of this age. Dimensions: 33.5" tall, 19.75" wide and 20" deep. (1334)
