This petrin is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. This piece is made from solid walnut and finished to a warm dark color. Note that the side panels on the main portion of the box are made of pine. The petrin comes apart in three pieces and all of the pieces are sturdy and strong. There are several woodworm holes in the piece but nothing that affects the structure (see photos). Overall this piece is in very good antique condition with only minor imperfections characteristic of its age. Dimensions: 35.25" tall, 40.75" wide and 18" deep. (8186)
