This oil on copper painting is from France and dates from the mid to late 1800's. It is of the shroud of Turin or Holy Shroud. The plaque at the bottom of the frame says that the painting is attributed to A. Durer. However, we do not believe that the painting was done by Albrecht Durer but is more likely a study of his work. The frame appears to be new to the piece and shows minor signs of wear. Dimensions: 15.75" tall, 15" wide and 1.5" thick in its frame. The canvas size is 8.75" tall and 8" wide. (3567)
