This oil on canvas painting was done by Sven Drews (1919-2003) in the mid 1900's. He is the son of Danish Painter Kai Drews (1884-1964). The painting brilliantly captures a river rushing through mountainous terrain. It has strong colors that are still quite vibrant after all these years. Note that the painting has been professionally restored and mounted to a new canvas. The frame is in good condition with only slight rub marks to the gilding (see photos). Dimensions: 23.75" tall, 19.75" wide and 2.5" thick in its frame. The canvas size is 19.75" tall and 15.75" wide. (3546)
