This Gothic cabinet is from France and dates to the late 1800's. It is made from solid oak and finished to a warm dark color. The woodwork is very intricate with excellent hand carved details. It is a very high quality piece with excellent fit and finish. The doors and the lid open and close smoothly and the door has a working lock and key. Note that there is a hidden latch on the inside that opens the side door and the lid is secured with a hook and loop (see photos). Overall this cabinet is in very good antique condition with only minor nicks and scratches consistent with its age. Dimensions: 35.25" high, 39.5" wide, 14.75" deep (front to back). (1337)
