This extra-large Renaissance clock is from France and dates to the early 1900's. The clock works are original and do run well. Both springs are in good condition and can be wound. The gong chimes out the hours and the 1/2 hour. We do recommend that clockworks be cleaned and adjusted to ensure that they keep good time. The case is highly carved and filled with detail. There are some missing pieces on the edge of the clock and a couple of repairs (see photos). Note that there is also a chip in the number 2. Overall this clock is in good antique condition and with a little work can be used daily. Dimensions: 34.5" tall, 23" wide and 8" deep. (1334)
