This Gothic book stand is from France and dates to the late 1700's. It is very solidly built and shows beautiful woodcarvings. The stand can be raised and lowered by adjusting the pin in the middle. Overall it is in very good antique condition with no notable damage. Note that there are several woodworm holes throughout the piece and there are some old repairs in the base (see photos). Dimensions: 31.5" wide, 67"-59.5" high and 27.75" deep. (616)
