This Gothic day bed is from France and dates to the early 1900's. It is made from solid walnut finished to a warm dark color. The details are hand carved and very intricate. The mattress and pillow covers are made from green silk that is in very good condition considering its age. Note that there are some slight stains in the fabric (see photos). There are several chips/dents in the rails and the velvet on the back is undone a little on the bottom. Overall this daybed is in very good condition with only minor imperfections consistent with its age. Note that there are a few repairs to the straps on the underside of the bed (see photos). Dimensions: 73.75" long, 47.5" tall and 24.5" wide. The mattress height is 21" tall. (3452)
